What Makes Doorwin Windows Energy Efficient?

You are going to replace your old windows for your home, and you’ve already selected proper window frame material ( wood, or aluminum or wood alu-clad). But you probably have no much idea about the energy efficiency of windows, besides you know energy efficiency is important enough to stay cool in summers and warm in winter. Here are some elements that make Doorwin Windows energy efficient.

Tempered Glass

Make sure the window glass is tempered glass, as it’s safer and stronger than regular glass, also known as toughened glass. Nowadays, usually double glazing or triple glassing with thickness of 5 mm or 6 mm are installed for windows. Besides tempered glass, there are a few options to make the window more energy efficient.

Low-e Coatings

Low-e coatings is to make the glass into low emissivity glass with a coating of microscopic layers of silver on the glass surface. Low-e coating are making to minimize the amount of ultraviolet and infrared light that can pass through glass without scarifying the amount of visible light that  transmitted through the windows.

Gas Filled Between Glass Panes

If you haven’t inserted gas between the glass panes, there remains air between them, Gas like argon or krypton, can greatly reduce the chances of condensation and improve the insulation than air. Argon gas is cost effective, non-texic, odorless and colorless, which is often used into the glass panes.

Warm Edge Spacer

Spacers are the metal bars to separate the glass pane. They are usually made of aluminum profile, and could be powder coated with RAL colors to match the windows. Doorwin provides both aluminum spacer and warm edge spacer. Warm edge spacer is made of non-mental material to less transmit the heat and cold into the room, thus it minimizes the energy lost.

Above ways are how Doorwin improves the energy efficiency of windows. With low-e coating, argon gas filled, warm edge spacer, our glass windows are energy efficient. For more information, you are free to reach us at vincent@doorwingroup.orgor visit our sites at www.dooriwngroup.com.
